Jamail & Smith Construction awarded The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN)
Job Order Contract for Constructive Services

(July 30, 2010 - Austin, Texas) - Jamail & Smith Construction has been awarded The Cooperative Purchasing Network (TCPN) Job Order Contract (JOC), to be the provider of construction services for TCPN members. This contract is a fixed price, indefinite quantity contract that includes multiple construction, renovation, repair and alteration projects delivered on an on-call basis through job orders. The contract is unique because it offers alternative pricing data which maximizes accuracy and job application. 

TCPN is a national governmental purchasing cooperative that provides commodity and service contracts for use by public entities. By using a cooperative contract, the customer benefits from the buying power of the entire cooperative membership. Some of the many benefits of using JOC via a coop are: the contracts are pre-competed, therefore greatly reducing procurement time and cost; projects can be started and completed faster and cost less without sacrificing quality; and projects create opportunities for local, minority and women owned businesses to participate in the work because the contractor "bundles" subcontract packages for maximum local and MWBE/HUB inclusion.

Jamail & Smith Construction is able to efficiently execute bond issues, help owners catch up on backlog of deferred maintenance, serve as an on-call contractor and respond to emergencies, natural disasters or project workload increases via any of these cooperative purchasing contracts.  As long as the customer is a member of the coop, Jamail & Smith Construction can execute work as soon as a job order is issued.
